July 19, 2022Mainstream journalism in the service of porn influencers

On a beautiful July day, a Polish website wprost.pl published an article entitled “We have porn influencers”. The author of the article, Paulina Socha-Jakubowska, prepared herself “very thoroughly” to express her opinion regarding those sex workers that have social media accounts. After a series of interviews and articles in which we tell about our journey, about our activity in porn industry, another post has appeared… Of course, we would like to thank Ms. Editor in advance, as we owe slightly larger reach to her. In the article, the Editor invokes such personalities as Andrzej Gryżewski (with whom we work on many projects) or Professor Lew-Starowicz (we’ve had some interesting and intelligent conversations with his pupils from sexology studies). All you had to do was look more closely on our Instagram profile or our website to see that we do much more than just promote our “porn business”. Ms. Editor beautifully described us as (…) deprived of “moral compass”, life wisdom or actually, any wisdom at all – she categorized us as creator wanting only one thing: to make money on our morbid contents (…). We fully understand the attitude of people who have no idea what we exactly do, who just watched some of our adult films (for which we are very thankful) and checked out our Instagram accounts (which probably made them jealous of our quality of life). If the author considers helping men with getting rid of the problem of premature ejaculation as a sign of being deprived of any sort of wisdom, then, we would like to truly congratulate her on a sexist approach to the subject. Furthermore, the article doesn’t even mention that we promote regular checkups as only one per mille of Poles examine for the presence of venereal diseases. There is also no word about the fact that we greatly encourage couples to talk about their sexual needs. Overall, the article only focuses on a promotion of our “porn business”, which is probable why so many people were curious and started to follow us. We must admit that it is a great advantage. Ms. Editor used the argument of our adult content and perhaps, thanks to that we will be able to help those that find more depth in our work.

When it comes to protecting children from pornography – in our opinion, it is better to educate kids and introduce them at the right time into the world of human sexuality, than to prohibit them anything, as it may only stimulate a desire to explore. Shouldn’t we make the youth aware in time that porn is just a fiction, like a science-fiction movie? That a real-life sex rarely looks like that, that it is a fantasy? No one talks about that and, as a result, people in their adulthood still think that sex should resemble to porn, and such way of thinking entails many problems. Thus, it is crucial that there will be people in the porn world who will openly say that the scenes of sex presented in the adult films are in most cases staged. It is very difficult to keep children from the Internet… or from kind people who write about “porn influencers” and direct their attention solely on adult films. On our blog, you can also find out that such content can serve as means of education. In conclusion, we would like to stress that we be thankful for each such article and for each opinion, even if it is a private judgment dictated by perceiving reality, through one’s own prism.
